Worship at MPC
Music is central to our worship life, a meaningful and enjoyable part of each week's Sunday service. Learn more about our Music Ministry.
We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of each month. All are welcome to share the elements of bread and grape juice with us (gluten-free bread is always available).
Special worship opportunities throughout the year include a Blessing of the Animals, an evening communion service during Holy Week, and a candlelight service of Lessons and Carols on Christmas Eve.
Our Sunday worship service is the beginning and end of a weeklong conversation with God. We want to be inspired in ways that bring us back throughout the week to what we have heard, read, sung, and prayed together in community with other disciples of Jesus. We also love intellectual challenges. We want to think and learn in ways that deepen our faith and strengthen us to do God’s work in the world.
Weekly worship at MPC includes gathering music, a call to worship, prayer of confession and assurance of God's pardon, choir anthem, children's message, Scripture, sermon, prayers from the congregation, offering, and a variety of hymns and/or praise songs.
